I’m very exited to have Jakob Bjerkemo coming to Copenhagen to teach 3 workshop on Saturday the 1st of March. 
 
In the first two level 2 and 3 workshop Jakob will focus on the themes of Connection, Communication, and Control. The way we establish connection in WCS plays a vital role in how we communicate with our partner. There are many ways to connect in WCS and I had an ‘aha’ experience with the way that Jakob was explaning it slightly differently, so I really recommend you come to the workshop.
 
It’s in the detail of connection what allows skilled dancers to appear as if they’re reading each other's minds, especially during improvised dancing. We will focus on essential techniques and ideas to build a strong connection in a way that enhances communication while allowing both you and your partner to freely express yourselves on the dance floor and learn how to become more sensitive in the connection both ways. 
 
These workshop will take your WCS skills to a new level :-) 
 
NB. It is possible to only take the first workshop, but the second workshop is builded on top of the first, so it is not possible to only join the second workshop! 
 
We recommend that you sign up early, so that you secure your spot. 
If you see that the event is sold out then join the waiting list, so that we can more or less even out the numbers of leaders and followers. No waiting list for couple and people that can do both roles!
 
The event will be taught in English.

15.35-18.30 Break (Eat or Practise if you like) We will be playing music in the studio.
18.30-20.00 WCS Workshop 3 - Theme will be revealed next week.

Workshop 1: For people that are in our level 2 og 3 course
Workshop 2: For people that are in our level 3 course or have been to the improver courses before. 
 
If you are a beginner you can sign up to the beginners workshop that we have on the 2nd of March!

Den lille sal - The small studio is in the basement, when you go down the stairs there is a hallway on the right where you need the code to get in. Once you get in you go all the way to the end of the hallway and go into the studio on the left. The Studio is bigger than the yellow studio! 
 
Short Bio Jakob Bjerkemo

I started dancing about 25 years ago and have managed many different partner dances, including bug, foxtrot, tango and lindy hop. I have also taught salsa, bachata and west coast swing for many years. I started dancing wcs in 2008, around the same time that the dance came to Sweden and I was one of the first trained instructors within SDF. Since 2020, I have participated in Robert Royston's online training for The Shared Center System, which has given me a very good knowledge of the fundamentals of dance, its roots and technique.
